We made it to transfer! I'm so grateful. I really didn't think it was going to happen and it would all be for nothing. I understood the physical process already, but I really under-estimated the stress of waiting for each next step.
The transfer was fine. A few catheters were tried out first (more than one would expect, I believe), but it was ok.
We transferred two embryos. Both grade 1. One eight celled, one nine celled. I am a bit worried about the nine cell, I thought they should have been even numbers. The embryologist didn't seem worried. We had another eight celled but it was grade two so she choose this instead.
So now it's the waiting game. No matter what, I'm pleased we got this far.

Hi there - well done!! Thanks for your comment on my blog - but I am pleased to say that I hadn't updated it - and that was an old cycle.
I am still hopeful for the NEW ONE.
Fingers crossed for you
Yay! Glad it went well! Stick little embies!
Hurray! So exciting. For what it's worth, one of mine was 7-celled, so odd numbers can work! And those sound like great embryos. Woo hoo!
Odd numbers don't matter AT ALL. They happen because the cells don't necessarily split at the same time. Don't worry about that, it really doesn't matter!
Fantastic! Stick little embies, stick!
Woohoo, so happy for you:-) Now's hoping they buggers stick!
Excellent. Great news.
9 cells is really good. It's a sign that it's multiplying already.
Pregnant until proven otherwise!
Congrats! Fabulous news!
Carrie, reading this was just music to my ears. Congrats on getting so far and I hope that you get really good news. really soon.
xx
J
Good luck! Fingers crossed.
Wow, grade 1's....that's great. I can only dream of that kind of quality. So hoping the 2 dream boats stick around for a long long time x
Oh and did you get anything to freeze?
Well done sweetie, don't worry about the cell numbers, different eggs split at different rates!
Stick little embies stick....when is your beta scheduled for?
Love and hugs
Stick embies stick!
holy cow! those embies sound pretty.
yea! glad all went well. ; )
Oh Carrie, that's wonderful news! I was worried for you too! an 8 and 9 cell Grade 1 are excellent, really! And you shouldn't worry about the odd number, because it's just not all the cells dividing at the same time. In a perfect world where ALL the cells divided at the same time, there would ONLY be 2-cell, 4-cell, 8-cell, 16-cell, etc embryos. You're good!
Were they going to watch the other 8 cell grade b for freezing?
Good luck!!!! I really want to see a lovely BFP for you.
P.S. I'm drinking a lovely cup of Yorkshire Gold blend right now, since my Scottish Choice has been out of stock for about 2 months. :( I love tea!
CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks for the comment on my blog - I did know we were cycling together but I don't comment often enough that I didn't want to seem creepy. ;) It sounds like everything went soo well for you. My transfer is tomorrow and then hopefully we'll both get good news in a little bit. Fingers crossed!
Hang in there embies!! I wish you the best of luck!!
Oh Carrie YAY!!!!
Those embies sound like BRILLIANT growers to me. Well done.
Thinking of you xoxxoxo
Excellent! Don't worry about that niner, I think that is really not all that unusual. It sounds like they were beautiful!
Wishing you lots of luck getting through the wait. I'll be here whenever you want to complain about it!
This is great news! Hope the 2ww flies by with great results...
Woo hoo! That is great news - keep your mind and body stress free so that you have a nice comfy home for those two embies!
:)
Looks like we are cycle buddies! Best of luck!!!
So happy transfer went well. Stick little guys!!! Stick!
I'm so happy you made it transfer--and so hopeful that this is it for you. I have my fingers crossed.
Good luck!!! Stick little embies, STICK!!!
