The first scan, after 3 days of stims, was last night.
3 measurable follicles on each ovary. 8,8 and 11 on each. Symmetrical, yes, but not so good I think?
After being put on this protocol, due to being classed as a potential over-responder, I kind of hoped for more.
Now for some help, even although I have read so many blogs for so long, I am still unsure. Does having 6 measurable follicles at this stage mean that this is all there will ever be, or can some still join in this game? I'm sure I should know this but I'm uncertain. I know I should have asked the nurse.
So the roller coaster continues. I don't like the dips.

Day 3 of stims is very early, most clinics wouldn't scan you til day 5 at the earliest. So yes, more can definitely show up , but it's also not too late to up your dose a bit - give the doc a call and suggest it perhaps? But I would imagine when you go back on monday you might see more anyway.
As Thalia says Day 3 is very early, my first scan is day 8. Yes more follies can come into play all the way along, but the later it is the less chance they have of becoming big/mature enough. Still very early so dont worry.
Regrettably, I have no idea on this one, but just wanted to let you know that I can sit next to you and hold your hand during the scary parts of the ride.

my first scan was day 5 and that's still early. I had eff all then and got 17 despite 100IU fsh being involved.

Sorry I've been awol for so long - but after 3 days of stims if I had a response like that I'd be doing cartwheels! I think that them being close in size is a good sign - and more can definitely join in the game at this early stage.

My clinic does a blood test day 3 but no ultrasounds until day 7 or 8 somewhere so I'm thinking the rest of the girls are right. Keep on brewing:-)
I think you've had a pretty good response, sizewise for day 3. I've only ever had around 6 if that's any good to you.....
Usually a clinic likes to collect at the time when they will get the most mature eggs around sizes 18-20.
You may have others come up between now and then. It will just depend whether they are mature enough or not at the correct time.
I'd definately say that it's too early to worry about it. I got more follies as I went along and day 3 is early for a scan, my first scan was only on day 6 of stimms. I think you gonna get plenty more.

My first scan was after 7 days of stimming so not sure what they looked like to compare it back on day 3. The fact that you have follie growth already is a great thing though! It's all trial and error for your first stim and I'm glad you are being so closely monitored for an overrepsonse.
